A round grenade that will deal 20 points of damage to any players caught within the blast area. A burst of black smoke is seen around the center of the explosion, and is accompanied by a loud sound. Being close to an exploding grenade—but not caught within the blast—will darken your screen and make your ears ring temporarily.
Usage: Grab the grenade with primary hand using trigger, pull the pin using off hand trigger, Toss in the direction you intend to inflict damage. You can also "cook" a grenade by pressing on the dpad, this will remove the spoon and start the timer. Grenade timers are 5 seconds. Make sure you throw the grenade a safe distance away before the end of this timer.
Flashbang grenades will temporarily blind nearby players with a bright flash, causing their ears to ring and muffling sounds that they hear. They can still move at this time.
Usage: Grab the flashbang with primary hand using trigger, pull the pin using off hand trigger, Toss in the direction you intend to inflict blindness. You can "cook" the flashbang by pressing on the dpad, this will remove the spoon and start the timer. Flashbangs have a timer of 2 seconds. It is recommended to avoid "cooking" flashbangs.
Smoke Grenades will create a large cloud of smoke that can be used as effective cover.
Usage: Grab the smoke with your primary hand using trigger, pull the pin using off hand trigger, Toss in the direction you intend to smoke. You can also "cook" the smoke by pressing on the dpad, this will remove the spoon and smoke will start billowing from it.
Usage: Look at your right hand wrist... A fast way to call out the direction of something of interest.
PDA / MAP
Usage: Press Right menu button to lower back.
All team members will show up as green dots.
Hurt team members will show up as yellow dots.
Team members who have been downed and revived—will show up as red dots.
Downed but alive team members will show up as a red cross.
Dead team members will not show up on the map.
Objective will show up as white dot.
When you are on Marsoc team, you will see a code on your PDA, this is the code you have to enter when you get to the objective in order to capture it.
Press "Send Uplink", enter the code and press "Send" to capture the objective. Note that switching between the "Code" and "Send Uplink" screens will not erase what you have entered for the code, meaning that you don't have to memorize the entire code at once.
Every player spawns with at least one syringe, and a second syringe may be chosen as a gear option when creating a loadout.
When used on a downed player—whether that player be friend or foe—that player will stand back up. It is important to note that syringes do not heal any health. A player goes down when they reach 1/3 health, and they will stay at 1/3 health after being revived.
When used on a player who is injured but not downed, the visual and sound effects that come with being shot will go away. More importantly, the "bleed out" effect—which will kill a player 2.5 minutes after they have been shot—will be canceled. Again, it is important to note that there is no actual healing effect from the syringe.
Syringes can be used on players with full health and also dead players, but with no effect other than wasting the syringe. Due to this, it can be beneficial to check your tablet for a red dot to ensure that a teammate that has been shot isn't dead before using your syringe on him, since you otherwise cannot be certain that they are alive unless they are talking.
Usage: Grab Syringe with primary hand using trigger, Hold near body, Holdtrigger and up on touchpad/press forward on stick and press in at same time to use.
Body armor—which can be chosen as a gear option when creating a loadout—covers the user’s torso, but is not visible to other players.
Body armor will never have any effect against armor piercing (AP) ammo. Full metal jacket (FMJ) ammo deals damage to the armor instead of the torso, having to break the armor through multiple hits—the number of which varies drastically from weapon to weapon—in order to deal damage to the player. FMJ-Tracer acts the same as FMJ, but also leaves a visible tracer effect.
When body armor blocks damage, an audible “tink” sound can be heard by anyone nearby.
Before the 3/31/2017 update, it was possible to dump hundreds of rounds point-blank into a body armor user's torso without dealing any damage.

Knives will also do no damage to the chest if body armor is equipped.
Body armor now lowers damage done by grenades.
Night vision can be chosen as a gear option when creating a loadout. Night Vision Goggles (NVG) can make the map on the tablet hard to read, but they are almost required for playing on dark maps, especially Tanker.
Usage: Press trigger of off hand to forehead to turn on and off. Makes spotting lasers at night more fun than peeing in the snow.
Your knife is located on your left shoulder.
Usage: Grab it by pressing grip to your left shoulder with your main hand.
Activate: By pressing and holding trigger. The knife will do no damage if not active.
Knives will do no damage to the torso if body armor is equipped.
